The first of my “finished” units for The Old World

I wrote the other day about not being good at finishing things and how “most” of my army was “most” of the way done. As of today “some” of my army is “finished”. I’m really happy with how they turned out. It’s a bit jarring to me to look really closely and see the differences between the ones I painted a decade ago and the ones I painted this week, but they blend in well enough.

As you can see, I painted them with two different shield colourings. I’d originally thought that I might paint them with an entirely separate colour scheme but this means that I can, if I want to run more than 20 in a single unit, run them with alternating shield-colours and it will look quite nice!

Just a short one today. I’ve got a game planned for the weekend and hopefully I can get the last few models ready for that into my “S” rank from last week. Not much left to do!
